MRS. MONIKA TANEJA JOINED AS MEMBER (CRM) IN CGRF-BRPL ON 09.09.2019

She pursued her Bachelors and Masters degree in Political Science from Miranda House, University of Delhi followed by a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi (1990-1993).

She has 25 years of extensive experience in adjudicating a myriad of legal cases as well as settling consumer related disputes during her tenure as Member, District Consumer Forum, Govt. N.C.T. of Delhi, Member (NGO) CGRF and Member (Law) at CGRF, NDMC.

She is an expert in redressal of electricity disputes among other areas and has written and passed a plethora of ‘good law’ judgments which have been upheld by various superior courts during appeal.

During her legal trajectory, she has been an avid proponent of ensuring dissemination of justice at the grass root level. To this effect, she has conducted several hearings in mobile courts in various districts of Delhi serviced by Discoms. Furthermore, she has been an active participant in several Consumer Protection Programs organized by institutes including CUTS Institute for Regulation and Competition and Residential Training Program 2016 by National Power Training Institute, Ministry of Power.

Ms. Monika has also been accolade with an appreciation letter by NDPL for commendable work done by her in discharge of duties as Member (NGO), CGRF.

At present, she is serving as Member (CRM) in CGRF-BRPL prior to which she has worked as Member (Law) CGRF NDMC for the last six years in addition to her assignment as Member (Law) CGRF BYPL.
