Shri Rajiv Jain is a Graduate in Civil Engineering in First class with distinction. He has done Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. His parent Department was Airports Authority of India (AAI) - a public sector undertaking, under Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, where he worked in various capacities in the field of Civil Engineering and held various assignments at Delhi and Mumbai Airports.

He has vast exposure of more than 36 years of working in various disciplines of Civil Engineering at Airports viz Projects, Maintenance works pertaining to Airport Runways, Water supply, Airport building works, Road works, Housing works etc. Apart from the above, he worked as Joint General Manager Engineering in Consultancy and Coordination Division of AAI, mainly dealing with feasibility studies for establishing new airports / expansion, on the basis of requests received from various State Governments and other bodies. He has extensively travelled in India and was responsible for preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for New Green Field Airports. He toured various states in the country for feasibility study for establishing new Airports.

He has the Administrative exposure of working as Private Secretary to Hon’ble Union Minister of state for Shipping at the level of Director, in Govt. of India.

He also worked as Private Secretary to Hon’ble Chairpersons of Standing Committee, Lok Sabha, New Delhi for six years, where he dealt with many consumer related issues. He travelled extensively with the Parliamentary Standing Committee, examining various Ministries, other government bodies, public sector undertakings and PSU banks with respect to recruitment Rules and Regulations in their Organizations pertaining to transfer, posting and promotion etc. Apart from that he also had the exposure of dealing with issues involving public interest consumer issues relating to Ministry of Petroleum, Food civil supplies, Information and Technology, Water Resources, Home, etc.
